2009 Annual UTAM Meeting Information

The 2009 annual UTAM meeting will be held Thursday-Friday January. 7-8, 2010 at the Sutton Building, University of Utah. The midyear review slides are at here.

The recommended hotel for all participants is either the University Guesthouse or the University Marriott Hotel (contact Trisha S. Koukoulias at 801-584-3317 or email tkoukoulias@sunstonehotels.com) located near campus (1 mile). The Marriott rates for University guests is $114.00/night if reservations are for 3 nights (state that you are a guest of the UTAM consortium) and $89./night at the University Guesthouse. Thea has blocked out 30 rooms at the University Guesthouse ($89./nite) until Dec. 30 so please make reservations as soon as possible; make sure that you say that you are part of the visitors to the UTAM meeting hosted by the Geology and Geophysics department. The University Park Marriott Hotel will still give the group discount price.

An informal buffet reception will be held Wednesday night January 6 from 7PM-9:30PM at the Pierre Lasonde House (105 South Fort Douglas Blvd.) just across the street from the University Guesthouse. The map for getting to the Guesthouse is here.
