The Utah Consortium for Tomography Modeling/Migration Consortium (UTAM) at the University of Utah is under the direction of Professor Gerard Schuster. UTAM is a research and educational program based in the University's Department of Geology and Geophysics.
Interested companies and organizations are invited to become members of UTAM's on an annual basis. The sponsoring company or organization receives no "deliverable research" for its sponsorship, nor does it direct the activities of UTAM.
UTAM operates under the Policies and Procedures of the University of Utah, which provide regulations for operation under compliance with the all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, codes, regulations, rules, and orders.
Sponsors are invited to UTAM's annual meeting February 5-6, 2009 at which reports are shared with sponsors by faculty and students. These reports may include theses, research reports and papers, computer source code, and other publications of current or past years. Materials presented at the annual meeting, or otherwise published or provided to sponsors, may be copied and used by sponsors without restrictions. Such materials are available to members to support their own exploration activities. Members join on their own behalf and do not represent the interests of groups who are non-members.
The sponsor company below agrees to sponsor UTAM under the direction of Professor Schuster at the University of Utah from 01/01/2010 until 12/30/2010 for a contribution of 30,000 dollars.
